Bina Antarbudaya is a Volunteer Based Organization

Volunteers and volunteerism are who we are. Our organization brings about changes in lives through and for our global community of volunteers (AFS Vision 2020)

Bina Antarbudaya has a Board of Trustees and Board of Advisors that domicile in Jakarta, and seventeen chapters (representative/branches) throughout the country from Banda Aceh in the nothern part of Sumatra island to Makassar in South of Sulawesi which are managed in fully by volunteers.

The volunteers range from member of local communties of various ages and backgrounds, from high school and university students, families, teachers and other professionals, to local government authorities, who are committed to Bina Antarbudaya mission and objectives. There are approximately 1,000 Bina Antarbudaya active volunteers at present.

As a volunteer based organization Bina Antarbudaya believes that our volunteers need to be professional, responsible and accountable.In conducting our programs, we have to do our tasks in limited allocated time and with limited resources but have to achieve the highest quality results. To develop volunteer capacities and capabilities, Bina Antarbudaya conducts volunteer gatherings, workshops and trainings every year, nationally and/or locally.

In conducting its programs, Bina Antarbudaya cooperates with other organizations which are in line with its mission. Bina Antarbudaya activities comprised of four main areas, namely sending, hosting, fundraising and volunteer development/training. The four areas are inseparable, since one is complementing the others.
